About
Jake was first introduced to mixing/dj'ing jungle aged 11. In 2003 he set about learning how to use a variety of audio sequencers and wacky noise making implements. Two years of hard practice later, and after obtaining a new computer and a ''professional'' sequencer, Gekko rapidly set out to make a ''professional'' name for himself. And here we are now, in 2007, Gekko's sound is, different. A playful yet serious lashing of broken oldskool amen breaks, extreme swooshes and gritty 8 bit noise .. top banana! For his creations Gekko utilizes Logic Audio, a Behringer rack, a 6gb self sampled library of sounds and a Boss distortion pedal
