Peaky Pounder

Peaky Pounder, born on the 14th of February 1975 , grew up in a small village between Helsinki and Tampere , Finland , the place where he still lives nowadays. The cold environment in wintertime made him a very bittered person which could be heard in his musical expressions, he says, "making this kind of music keeps me warm in wintertime, it's the only way to survive for me". He hardly says a word about how he got into music or what or who he is but one thing is for sure, he rocks!! Peaky did a 12" for Upstruct records called Kylpyvaatho and his second release, Taulettimessa, came out on Subspace, Laidback Luke's label and was one of the most successful Subspace releases. After that he made a remix for Dutch producer Da Goose's phonky phone, the peaky pounders känny mix (popular Finnish word for mobile phone). Peaky also released an E.P. for the Shockers label, the Uusi! E.P. which got a lot of play's by big techno dj's. After these release Peaky thought that techno could be more raw and powerful and started making industrial sounds with a really harsh techno feel. After sending only one demo Peaky got in contact with The Third Movement and released Hermosto. Peaky was also asked to pick up his DJ'ing career again (he used to play on a local radio station and played at some local clubs) and performed for the first time on Mysteryland 2002 in Holland . After this set he got a lot of DJ bookings and since then Peaky is also a quite well known industrial DJ. The follow up of Hermosto came out and Fasttalking was a fact and created quite a hype. With this release Peaky created his own well-known techno/industrial/hardcore/ happy/bouncing sound and played again on Mysteryland 2003 and many other gigs all over the globe and beyond.
