Techland

Techland is a Newstyle/Jumpstyle label which started releasing in 1999. The labelmanager was Rob Fabrie a.k.a DJ waxweazle. All releases have been produced by a team of producers; DJ Waxweazle, DJ Berry & DJ Noizer. This label brought forward some nice newstyle/jump hits but unfortunately was forced to stop due to the almost collapse of the hardcore scene which was of big influence on the selling of several Mid-town labels. Mid-town felt forced to stop because many newstyle and hardcore labels dropped in sales. Techland is now a defunct non-operative label. However the label stopped releasing after a short period, Mid-town started a new a-like label in 2005 because of a retro-jumpstyle hype which hit the hardstyle scene in Holland again. This label is called "Detonated Jump Traxx" for which DJ Noizer and DJ Berry started producing and releasing. In a way you could say Detonated Jump Traxx is a kind of follow up of Techland. They have distinct styles and prove the jump is still on.
