XROGER was a j-core and nerdcore techno label founded in 1996 by . XROGER’s genesis came about when shared a demo tape to another artist, . The tape contained a gabber track with voice samples from the anime Mizuiro Jidai, it was made by and under the duo name . How the two operated isn’t absolutely known – however it’s shown that, alongside collaborative tracks, they would make solo tracks and credit a variation of with their name in it. The duo would also use the name , both names predate XROGER. Based on the aforementioned crediting practice it can be assumed relations between and broke off sometime between XRCD-007 and XRCD-008. Back on the demo tape, hub master would participate in the release and in September of 1996, XRCD-001 was dropped. From then to 1999; , , and would be the makeup of most releases which would feature a number of other artists who would become members of the XROGER crew including; , , , and . Their releases were sold at Comiket and M3. XROGER did outdoor events in Chiba and Sendai as well, even unsanctioned performances in Sendai shopping arcades – until their first official performance at Sendai's Kotodai Park on May 4, 1998. In 1999 as a result of stepping down as label owner, XROGER would “break up.” A show was even held a month later for it on August 21, 1999. XRCD-009 was the supposed last release, however 7 more releases were put out sporadically from 2006 to 2014, the catalog numbers of each being XRCD-009 with an amount of decimals put after, each release getting progressively closer to XRCD-010 but never reaching it – making a point that there never will be a XRCD-010. While it’s obvious XROGER’s break up was theatrical, stepping down was real. After it happened a few members felt the label couldn't continue in the same capacity, most felt otherwise though and started a new label with nobody taking on a role as owner; .
