About
Bombardier is the primary music project of Jason Snell, a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans the field of electronic music, technological development, and film. Bombardier’s music is a militaristic commentary on the post-Vietnam era, and a shaping influence on the hardcore and experimental music scenes since the late 90’s (Drop Bass Networks, Hangars Liquides, Vinyl Communications). His music a unique synthesis of drum & bass, industrial, and techno. Bombardier has performed at shows and festivals throughout North America and Europe including Cold Waves, DEMF, and the main stage at Even Furthur. He has shared stages with artists of all genres including Perc, Fixmer McCarthy, Adam X, Cell Injection, Architect, Author & Punisher, Baseck, End User, Delta 9, and Christoph De Babalon. He extends his music through self-built experimental technologies, including a generative MIDI sequencer with AI, and both motion-sensor and brainwave-sensor systems to create live music compositions. He has coordinated with the Ableton team in implementing their Link technology into his technology and does regular user testing for Native Instruments in Berlin. His film work has premiered at Sundance and the Berlin Independent Film Festival and his AV show includes intelligent triggering, fusing his music with his filmmaking.
