About
[b]DJ Hvad[/b], later stylized as [b]HVAD[/b], is a primary artistic alias of the Danish experimental musician, producer, and sound engineer Hari Shankar Kishore (b. 1985) from Copenhagen, Denmark. The name [r=1740904] (meaning "[i]What[/i]" in Danish) first appeared in 2008 as the debut album's title by Albertslund Terror Korps breakcore duo formed by Kishore with Halfdan "Cancer" Pisket. In 2009, Kishore adopted "Hvad" as a solo DJ moniker and released a limited edition [i][r=1938605][/i] locked groove EP, followed by a self-titled [i][r=1955179][/i] LP album on his label Syg Nok. Since 2022, after launching a new label, ULLLU, Hvad has presented three new original albums, including his collaboration with Egyptian vocalist and musician Abdullah Miniawy and a 24-hour recording of the January 2024 live performance at Cisternerne underground water reservoir.
